Meet Dr. Smita Tandon
Smita Tandon, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician based in Fountain Valley, California, where she is the medical director of her own practice. Dr. Tandon is deeply passionate about helping children and has more than 30 years of experience in the field of pediatrics.
A native of India, Dr. Tandon earned her doctorate in medicine from Grant Medical College in Mumbai before starting her residency at King George’s Medical College in Lucknow. After arriving in the United States, she completed a second medical residency at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
Dr. Tandon has made it her mission to deliver a lifetime of quality health care to every child she sees in a clean, safe, comfortable, and friendly environment because she understands just how much childhood experiences impact a person’s life. That’s why she strives to serve as the role model they deserve.
With three decades of experience in her field, Dr. Tandon enjoys all aspects of pediatrics. Her clinical interests include asthma and allergies, developmental medicine, research and performance improvement, community health and policy, and educating her patients and their parents on their diagnoses and treatment options.
In addition to her clinical experience and educational background, Dr. Tandon is a proud member of a number of medical organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, Orange County Medical Association, California Medical Association, American Medical Association, Indian Medical Association of Southern California, and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin.
Dr. Tandon lives in Orange County with her husband and their two wonderful daughters. When she is not treating patients, she enjoys reading, cooking, listening to music, spending time with her family, and playing with children.
